Fan Feedback
I own all of Zallen’s previous CD’s (Yowza, Smudge, Absolute Elsewhere) and this, by far, is the best to date. Past CD’s showed Zallen’s obvious talents, but ‘Everybody’s Got Something to Hide’ has a rich yet raw vulnerability to every track that doesn’t come around to often. The music is reminiscent of classic Bowie, while the vocals drip of Lennon/McCartney at their best. Zallen stands out from today’s studio processed artists, playing music and singing vocals that come from the heart and not from manipulation to cover lack of creativity and talent. From the bluesy-esque ‘Scratching on the Wall’ to the fun and catchy ‘The Da Da Da Song’ to the very personal ‘Dear Dad’, you will find it hard not to listen to this CD over and over again.

I think that Dr. Oblivion is my favorite track, it’s hard to say because I really like the whole CD. “Allow” is great “Golden Boy Blue”, “Scenic Route”, they’re all great. “Dr. Oblivion” stands out because it is very reminiscent of Tommy by The Who (one of my favorite rock opera’s). “Scratchin’ On The Wall” has a very rock musical sound like “Hair”. Love the album, there’s not a bad track on it!

"Unlike the title, Zallen's got nothing to hide, especially his talent! The title is not the only element suggestive of the Beatles. Beginning with the opening track, "Scenic Route," a Beatles-esque sound with a hint of David Bowie, and ending with "Beautiful Sleep," a lyrically rich song with delicate vocals. Zallen proves to be a wonderful singer/songwriter who also plays a mean guitar. I LOVED this CD, and look forward to hearing more from this artist!"

“I’ve loved all of Zallen’s work and ‘Everybody’s Got Something To Hide’ is no exception. He’s The Beatles meets Frank Zappa meets They Might Be Giants – and then they create an all new sound love child. Fun, complex, original and amazing. Love it!”

"My favorite one so far! I really like it a lot. I like how it is poppy at points, but the lyrics are very personal. I liked the overall music theme, with hints of Spanish flavor. "Sundara", is a great instrumental. I have to say "Beautiful Sleep", is a wonderful wonderful song. Great job!"

"I'm only on track 4 and I like it alot already! Very glam, a little psychedelic. Makes me want to put on a top hat and walk my turtle. I mean that in a good way."
